Design

The product is equipped with a connector panel for up to 24 connectors and 4 splice trays for fiber splicing. Each tray has 8 positions for splice protection sleeves. Each position can accommodate up to 2 single sleeves. The trays can also be used for mounting of fiber optic splitters for distributed split architectures. A lockable front door and a hinged mounting plate facilitate installation. Cable entrances of “slide in” type are mounted at the bottom of the closure. This allows for quick and easy installation of virtually any type of cable or microduct.

Applications

The 2/NCD507200 is a Fiber Access Terminal (FAT) for outdoor applications for up to 24 end user connections. The FAT is optimized for all FTTx architectures such as Passive Optical Networks (PON) and Point to Point (P2P) networks. The FAT is used as a demarcation point between the distribution network and the drop network and provides quick and easy incremental installation of end user drops. This unique closure can handle both air-blown fiber in microducts, micro cables as well as drop cables and other fiber optic cables. It can also be used as a fiber optic splice box for various splicing applications.
