The Amherst team will help you drive down network installation costs.
Amherst Photonics CEO, Brent Ware, founded the company in 2011 to design and build a portfolio of FTTx products that will drive down the costs in most expensive portion of FTTx networks – the cabling and installation costs of the Outside Plant (“OSP”). As a 30-year veteran of the fiber optics community Brent previously founded Amherst Fiber Optics, which became the leading North American distribution company for all Ericsson fusion splicing products, achieving annual sales of $100 million before the company was sold in the year 2000.
The Amherst team is proud to partner with Hexatronic Cables and Interconnect Systems a world-class manufacturer of fiber optic cables, duct, cabinets and tools for network designs that drive down total cost of ownership by (i) accelerating construction schedules, (ii) slashing the number of splice and connection points and (iii) significantly decreasing the amount of OSP materials.
Building on more than a decade of experience in OSP providing products for greenfield applications as well as overbuilds, the Amherst team has a depth of knowledge relating to the conventional methods of network design, cabling and splicing.
It is this same understanding that makes Amherst acutely aware of the many vertical markets that will benefit from the Hexatronic solution. These include (i) residential FTTH, (ii) rural broadband, (iii) enterprise networks, (iv) universities, (v) hospitals, (vi) municipal networks and others.
Tier 1 networks worldwide have already implemented the Hexatronic FTTx solution. The customer base includes numerous network designers, contractors, ISP’s, Telecoms, rural phone companies, and enterprise networks. At Amherst we work with our customers and can customize our products to meet your requirements with various connector and fiber types all adapted to our cost-effective and easy-to-use system.
